Lillington, the Harnett County seat on the Cape Fear River, is starting some of the county's largest projects. Describe your lift and we pass it to independent providers that work between Fayetteville and the Triangle.
Get a Free Crane Quote CallLillington is where US 421 and US 401 cross the Cape Fear River, about halfway between Fayetteville and Raleigh, with Campbell University just up the road in Buies Creek. Fort Bragg's northern edge also reaches into Harnett County.
Typical crane jobs here are new homes and churches, county and school buildings, rooftop equipment on small commercial buildings, and trees close to houses in older neighborhoods near downtown.
The Daily Record reported in October 2026 that crews were clearing and grading the 840-acre Capeton community off US 421, between downtown Lillington and Campbell University. Greenfield Communities plans homes, a charter school, retail, a riverfront amphitheater and a riverside trail, with the first lots expected to reach builders in fall 2027.
Harnett County also received a $500,000 Build Ready Sites grant in September 2026 for an access road at Byrd Industrial Site B, part of a 224-acre rail-served property on US 401 South just outside downtown. When those sites land tenants, expect steel and equipment lifts.
